Hailing from Paris, France, Tchami is a DJ and producer taking the dance music industry by storm. The deep house prodigy stepped onto the scene in July of 2013 after he released his first remix of Janet Jackson’s Go Deep. The groovy future house remix became an overnight sensation and the Frenchman hasn’t stopped ever since. In 2014 he signed to dance music label heavyweight Spinnin Records. His first single under the label was Untrue, a journey through melodic bass riffs and chopped vocals.
Tchami's incredible production quality shines through his originals and remix's alike. The future house star has put his eclectic deep house style on an assortment of tracks this year, from Martin Garrix's Wizard to Oliver $'s Pushing On, all to critical and fan acclaim. Tchami's burst onto the scene amidst the rising popularity of deep house has made him a festival staple across the globe. I was lucky enough to see him at Hard Summer Music Festival in Los Angeles, CA. Tchami's set was a whirlwind of funky, refined basslines, brisk hi-hats, and deep wonky beats. Check out the first episode in his new mix series Confessions and keep your eye out for this star on the rise.
